AS4-CRS in Vitry-aux-Loges (45530)

Projects

The public lighting of the village center is controlled by 2 cabinets with astronomical clocks (AS3 and AS4).

These cabinets have permanent outgoing lines (no night cut) and semi-permanent outgoing lines (with night break).

Consequently, the municipality wishes to keep the hyper center permanently. Then, the 4 adjoining streets will have to make a nightly secondary network switch via AS4-CRS.

A tailor-made solution.

After identifying the beginning of the secondary network, the solution is to:

  • Delete scheduled night cutoffs in cabinet clocks
  • Install a Secondary Network Switch box in the 1st candelabra of secondary lighting.
    • 4 Boxes are required to isolate the following streets from the main network.
    • AS4 clock integrated in the CRS boxes is programmed with a night cut-off (11:30 pm – 6:30 am for Vitry).
  • Modify the power supply phase of the candelabra of secondary network in order to connect it to the switched power supply of AS4-CRS.

A successful installation.

Firstly, an installation of 2 AS4-CRS boxes with a modification of the clocks’ programming in the 2 control cabinets (cancelling of the night cut-off) has been carried out. Then a modification of the supply wiring of the secondary network’s luminaires (so that they are switched by the AS4-CRS box) has been operated.

Therefore, despite a difficult implementation in the small-diameter cast iron mast and although the hatch is always 10 cm from the ground, the installations are functional.
