[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Dordogne is one of the few French departments where there is a light switching on and off system for public lighting, called PULSADIS and managed by ERDF.

However, this system is not totally satisfactory for the municipalities because of the shift in switching on and off light and the frozen ranges of night cutoffs.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_custom_heading text=”No. 1 objective: saving energy.” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]As part of its policy for saving energy and sustainable development, SDE 24 has decided to take a substitution action for PULSADIS system.

This technology will be replaced by astronomical clocks that allow communities to:

– make them autonomous for light switching on and off of public lighting compared to the current system controlled by ERDF source stations,

– very precisely regulate their lighting schedules throughout their territory,

– save money on their electricity consumption.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_custom_heading text=”Reliable and easy management.” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]The LUMANDAR AS3 clock that has been selected is manufactured by COMETA. It is programmed through software installed on a desktop computer, or even via a laptop or tablet equipped with Window operating system. This software is named ILIEC.

This programming mode is reliable, easily and immediately available with its globally recognized USB communication system.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_custom_heading text=”4000 clocks in 547 municipalities” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]Dordogne’s 547 municipalities that have transferred their Public Lighting expertise to SDE 24 are concerned by this action. It represents the supply and installation of more than 4,000 astronomical clocks.

The overall cost of the operation was estimated at € 2,000,000. However, no financial contribution will be required from the municipalities.

Consequently, the deployment of astronomical clocks will be done preferentially on the communities of municipalities having signed the Energy Package with SDE 24. Thus, this year, the public lighting remote control of Grand Périgueux’s municipalities will be equipped. Simultaneously, the community of Pays Vernois and Terroir de la Truffe municipalities will also be equipped.

Thus, this transition represents 571 clocks to install.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row]
